If you’ve played any of the Pokémon games, then you’ve probably heard the extremely sad backstory behind the small, dinosaur Pokémon named Cubone. In order to eventually evolve into a Marowak, the Cubone must come to terms with the death of its mother, whose skull acts as its helmet.
The “To Evolve” design features the skull of the Cubone and the bone it wields as a weapon. It reminds us that, like the Cubone, we must let go of our past sorrows in order to move forward.
