My basic skincare routine

My basic skincare routine

In the world of Twitch streaming, maintaining a fresh and radiant complexion is essential for camera-ready confidence. Discover top skincare essentials tailored for the busy lives of streaming girls. From hydrating solutions to revitalizing treatments, this guide offers valuable insights into achieving glowing skin, even during marathon streaming sessions. Here is my solution to a quick glow for when you're on the go!

"You look so glowy today!"

I get this compliment on stream a lot and it makes me so happy! But hot girls don't gatekeep- so here's a list of all the products I use when I'm not wanting to wear makeup on stream, but I also don't want to look dead. It's the quick list version, containing a handful of my go-to products. Before we get into the list, here are some details about my environment and skin type:

- Color: Fair skinned (obviously. I stopped tanning forever ago cause... skin cancer and stuff, so now I'm embracing my natural pale glow)

- Skin type: Normal (leaning to dry from living in Colorado)

- Environment: Low humidity and very dry, so I need extra moisture a few times a week

1. Vitamin C serum

FEATURES & BENEFITS:

  • Vitamin C supports collagen and elastin production, giving skin a firmer, plumper and lifted appearance.
  • Vitamin C visibly lightens and brightens complexion.
  • Boosts skin’s production of Natural Moisture Factors for increased hydration and moisturization.
  • Provides antioxidant protection to prevent future damage from free radicals and UV radiation.
  • May help reduce dark spots, redness and blotchiness.

I use the Transdermal C Serum from Truth Treatment Systems! I'll admit, it's pretty expensive. But if you're struggling with any of the above, this serum is so worth it and definitely one of the best vitamin c serums I've ever used.

Here are some other Vitamin C serums I love if you want to save some money:

When I wake up in the morning, I put this cream all over my face for an instant burst of hydration (after I cleanse with my cerave hydrating cleanser). This advanced retinol formula creates the perfect dewy look while giving me the mositure I need. It's also easy to use when I want to combine other serums. Read on to figure out which ones!

Quick note: For beginners, start with a patch test, use the product every other night to build tolerance, and always apply sunscreen during the day to prevent sun sensitivity.

Drunk Elephant: B-Goldi & D-Bronze Drops

For early morning streams, I rely on two key products from Drunk Elephant: their B-Goldi Drops and the D-Bronzi Drops. I mix a few drops of both with my retinol moisturizer! B-Goldi brightens my skin, improves my hyperpigmentation, and adds an easy golden finish. The D-Bronzi defends against pollution and offers a bronzy wash of color- perfect if you have super fair skin like I do and you just need a little pop of natural color. Whether I'm aiming for a natural glow or a more defined appearance, these drops work together seamlessly to elevate my streaming presence with quick and effortless radiance!

Summer Friday Lip Balm

These gems are a game-changer for keeping my lips soft and hydrated throughout the day, while adding a nice tint to my lips! With its nourishing formula enriched with shea butter and essential oils, it provides instant relief to dry, chapped lips. Whether I'm going for a bold lip look or keeping it natural, this lip balm adds the perfect finishing touch to my streaming makeup routine. Literally just pick any of them- they're all amazing! But my go-to favorite is the Limited edition Birthday Cake color!

4. Cerave Healing Ointment

Living in Colorado's dry climate, CeraVe's Healing Ointment is my go-to for achieving a healthy, glowy look. This dermatologist-developed formula intensely moisturizes, creating a protective barrier against the harsh environment. It not only soothes dryness but also targets concerns like chapped lips and rough patches, leaving my skin radiant and nourished. I simply put a light layer over my moisturizer to lock in that moisture and I'm good to go!

5. Skyn Firming Eye Gels

THE best eye gels hands down. Skyn's Firming Eye Gels are perfect for combating the effects of late nights or long days by providing instant relief, reducing the appearance of puffiness and dark circles for a refreshed and radiant look. Plus- they don't slide off when you put them on! Infused with ingredients like Icelandic glacial water, Arctic cranberry extract, and peptides, these eye gels not only hydrate and depuff but also promote collagen production, helping to diminish the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles over time. I use them as needed, but no more than about 2-3x a week since they can get a bit pricey.

6. Korean Sheet Mask (2x a week)

Korean face sheet mask bundle offering hydrating, brightening, moisturizing, firming, and soothing effects. Vegan-certified and infused with collagen, hyaluronic acid, ceramide, cica, peptide, retinol, and vitamin C.
