My April Wellness Routine

Morning Routine


Electrolytes and Minerals:

I take a Quinton water in the morning.  It has all 72 minerals and trace minerals in it!  It's great to have before I exercise.

TEA:

I love tea!  On different days I drink different things:

Monday - PIQUE tea's "Sun Goddess Matcha"

Tuesday - Warm lemon water with honey, cinnamon, and a dash of cayenne pepper

Wednesday - This is my indulgence day!  I have my favorite drink "Bolthouse Farms Mocha Cappucino"  I only allow myself to have it once a week because it has 53g of sugar.

Thursday - Warm lemon water again!

Friday - Oregon Chai

Saturday - Oregon Chai

Sunday - Oregon Chai


MEDITATION:  

For me, I love to start with breathing for 5 minutes. (See blog post "The Importance of Breathing)  

After breathing, I open up to God and talk to him about how I'm feeling, what's going on, or anything else that comes to mind.  If you are not into talking to God, skip this part:)  

Then, I will read a passage from a book of wisdom and concentrate on what it is saying.  I like to journal and write down what I received from that passage, but really soaking it in and thinking about what it is saying is important.  Sometimes, I end up in a rabbit hole of research.  

Regardless, let this time flow.  I find that it's best if it's not overly routine and structured! Routine can sometimes block your growth.  (I've been there!:)

STRETCH:

I like to start with foam rolling for 5 minutes, then I do static/dynamic stretches for 10 minutes.



TAKING CARE OF MY FACE:

You know your skin!  For me, simple is best. I start with a simple cleanser, (I'm using Simple: Micellar Cleansing Water) and then a moisturizer. Right now I'm using CeraVe Facial Moisturizing Lotion with SPF 30.

Then, my favorite!  Guasha release!


Afternoon Routine

READ:

In the afternoon, since I have time this month, I am reading a chapter out of a fictional book, and a chapter out of a nonfiction book!

Right now I'm reading "Pachinko" by Min Jin Lee and NASM text book about "Social Media Influencing."  What are you reading?

Evening Routine

STRETCH:

I like to do a 10 minute stretch before I go to bed.  This helps me sleep better and recover from any strain I've put on my body throughout the day!  I will post a whole stretch blog about the benefits of stretching later!


EVENING FACIAL ROUTINE:

Once again...simple. Before bed, I cleanse with Eminence: Mangosteen Daily Resurfacing Cleanser, (It's organic) and I use different products throughout the week after I cleanse.  Things I like:

Eminence: Coconut Age Corrective Moisturizer

Eminence: Eight Greens Phyto Masque-Hot

NatureWell:  Retinol Advanced Moisture Cream

Paula's Choice: Exfoliate

Kiehl's: Truly Targeted Acne Clearing Solution (I use this if I feel acne coming on!)

**Note: Don't buy Eminence from Amazon.  Get it from their website or a supplier, which is usually a spa of somekind.

In this blog, I am showing you what I am doing this month.  Next month, I will post different videos/products etc. that I am using. I am very experimental, so there will be different ones at different times.

My prognosis for the videos this month is as follows:

I love Mady Morrison's videos!  They are calming.  She chooses great music and she has good form, so I am a big fan!

I tried some different Guasha videos and this is my favorite!  I also like Mady's Facial yoga video if you don't have a Guasha.

Right now in my life I'm just teaching fitness classes, so I have a lot of time on my hands.    But, hopefully this will give you some good ideas for your own personal routine!  Love you! 😘
